HIT: suggestions for book donation

I got only two responses to my request for suggested book donations in
honor of school volunteers, but several requested a HIT, so here it is:

The Carlson books: Arnie and the Stolen Markers, Loud Mouth George,
etc., with bright and colorful illustrations, messages easy to discuss.
a Dr. Judy book:  Win, Lose, You Choose (may not be exact title)

The Year of Miss Agnes, by Kirkpatrick Hill (also mentioned in the HIT
posted on "teachers as characters in books"
