LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Several weeks ago someone recommended this title and a follow up book, The
Kindness of Children as good summer faculty reading. The title intrigued me
so I ordered them from my bookstore. I loved them. Very simply, they
suggest that as educators we are responsible to assure that children have an
environment for play where no one is allowed to be excluded -- it is
different from home, a different set of rules.
Well, just to let the person know who recommended it, (and to see if more
ripples happen), I bought three more copies and passed them around. We will
have an in-service in September to decide if we want to implement some of
these ideas. My principal told his daughter about it -- she asked for a
copy to take to her teacher.
And so the ripples go....
