I was inspired by Joanne's post to share this very creative idea! Our = third graders were given a free choice book report assignment. The final = product was to create a board game that used the plot, characters, and = setting of the book they read. I just came back from the cafeteria where = all the kids are playing each other's games. There's one for Harry Potter, = one called "Recess" and the point of the game is to get to the playground = from the Wayside School, plus so many more than I can mention. The kids = really got into this assignment and the games show how much they got out = of the book. They're having a lot of fun in there today! Susan K. S.
