ELEM: current events for 2nd grade

Happy Friday!

Do any of you know of good current events/news sites for 2nd graders? The
teacher wants them to use the site independently to check the news. I am not
finding anything that would be on their reading level. I found several things
they could have read to them, but nothing they could read on their own.
