I would like to respectfully respond to a LM-Net comment. I would like to ask "who" chose November as "Native American" month. I'm sure it wasn't North American Indian people. Being Indian is not a degree of blood or a color of skin, it's a way of life. It's a way of life every day, not just November. Just because everyone promotes November as "Native American" month does not mean it's supported, especially by North American Indians. Secondly, if November was created as "Native American" month to provide positive views of North American Indians.........It's not working!!!!! Main Point........Thanksgiving was/is celebrated by ALL tribal cultures throughout the world, way before it was deemed as an "american" holiday. To continually promote Thanksgiving(November) with North American Indians also promotes stereotypes ingrained in American people. I'm not against having themes, but I can't support November as "Native American" month. Yawa'ko(Thank You) Brian A.
