TARGET:Community Tech Lab

We have knocked out a wall and expanded our school media center to include
what my administration calls the "Community Lab."  The 16 on-line PC's
supplement those that I already have in the other section of our
facilities, and we are making terrific use of them during the school day.

The administration has asked me to devise a "plan" on how this lab could
be used both by and for the community.  The room includes a multi-media
projector and SmartBoard, printer, and some other peripherals.  The
obvious answer, of course, is to offer it opened in the evenings for
community groups to get Tech training, offered by school personnel or
outside agents, for fee or not.  I want to expand upon this creatively and
come up with other worthwhile uses of the facility.  Does anybody have any
ideas you would like to pass along?  Thanks much!
