Dear LM_NET Colleagues, Just in case you missed it, we have opened LM_NET to discussions of persons running for office in "Librarian Professional Organization Elections". When I look at my ALA ballot I don't have any personal cont with or experience of 95% of those runnimg. It would seem that LM_NET would be a place for those of us who know the candidates personally or from seeing how they perform ast a state or regional level, to share our knowledge with the broad spectrum of school librarians. Just think how much more informaed about the election we would be! Please feel free to post your recommendations for ALA/AASL officers as long as they include some concrete reasons for doing so, (as opposed to blanket endorsements without any stated reason). My feeling is that this group can handle such issues without resorting to flames!
