My top five qualities of a great LMS.
!. Flexibility - You will always be interrupted and asked to make changes.
Your time is rarely your own.
2. Perseverance - Keep looking until you find what the patron (student,
parent or staff) wants.  If you don't have it, make arrangements to get it.
3. Friendliness - A smile works wonders.
4. Collegiality - Work with your teachers as one of them.  Join curriculum
and building committees.  It's true that some of the meetings don't involve
you driectly, but the staff will see you as a "team player."  Plus it makes
you aware of what is happening in their classrooms; what is expected of them
daily (e.g. reports, state tests, "stuff" to collect and keep track of...)
5. Constantly update your knowledge of the materials for your level.  Read
as many journals as you can.  Join your state's professional association.
Read LM_NET regularly!
