TARGET: Virus protection software

I am afraid that I, like many Mac users, have not worried too much
about viruses -- but  with all the recent discussion on the list, I
thought it might be a good time to get some recommendations for virus
software.

A year or two ago I bought Norton AntiVirus, but found that it
seemed to interfere with many programs -- for example, I was not able to
get the Palm pilot to hotsync.  I removed the program and have been
running without any protection at all -- maybe that is not such a good
idea.  I have a new machine now -- an iMac -- so perhaps an updated
version of Norton would be less of a problem.

If you have been using virus protection that you particularly like, either
for a Mac or PC, let me know, and I will compile the information for a hit
for those of us who are getting just a little nervous!
