LM_NET: Library Media Networking
We are doing something in our church that might be copied by other churches or
community groups.
We have compiled a list of service people somehow connected to our church -
grandchildren, nieces, people who as youth attend here, etc. Some of the related
ones we don't even know personally, but we do know their grandparents or aunts,
etc. We are a very small church, but we have 10 people on our list.
Once a month a person in our congregation creates cards on her computer and brings
them to church. (We do this on the monthly coffee hour Sunday.) After church we
spread the cards out on tables in the Social Hall. Everyone signs all the cards
(some people also write short notes). Then another person addresses the envelopes
and mails them.
We have done this three times now. We have already received several very
appreciative replies.
Thinking of others even more this holiday season.
