I am chairing a committee to look at the next step in school planning after the technology hardware is all in place. The last five years at our K-12 school has focused on building the labs, buying the hardware and software, creating a wireless campus and getting the nuts and bolts in place. Like many other schools, we are now looking to the next 2-5 years-- the implication of this technology; what are the cutting edge schools doing with it both in new curriculum and pedagogy. What are the next technology developments we need to plan for? I am looking for suggestions of schools in the country with model programs, as well as suggestions of readings that can help us to phrase our questions. As a librarian, I have ideas of where libraries are moving, but there is more and this is my task to find out.=20 I appreciate any ideas and suggestions and will put together a HIT if others are interested. Thanks.
