LM_NET: Library Media Networking
As an elected union representative, I have been asked by our local school
librarian association to work with them in an attempt to have the union
become more familiar with our needs relating to contracts and dealings with
administrators. For example, during every negotiation the District attempts
to lengthen our working day without additional pay. Another area of concern
is budgeting. One large high school I know is give no library operating
budget.
I would be interested in hearing form those who have ideas concerning
issues they think their union or association could help them with or have
helped with in the past.
I will post a list of my responses.
