Isn't it interesting that the people who challenge Harry Potter, have the video of The Wizard of Oz in their family rooms and love it? I find it also interesting that they also love the Chronicles of Narnia and have no problem with The Lord of the Rings. We had a problem in our school three years ago. We can't teach Harry Potter to our developmental reading classes without signed parental consent but we have it in the library and have worn out several copies.
