Hello all, I am new to this, but I am enjoying your discussions. Mike Eisenberg's "call to action" echoes what we Library students in the Diploma program at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, are being taught concerning using opportunities as they arise to collaborate and connect with teachers to further library use and programs. I currently have an assignment that requires me to correspond with a Teacher-Librarian over the Internet and find out things like how technology is used, how you approach research with your students, what books are popular? I would be glad to tell you of my experiences as a Library Teacher-on-Call in Surrey, BC Canada. (There are 18 high schools I frequent, 5 of them regularly.) I have in my background several years of teaching Secondary English (8-12). Hoping some of you have the time and the inclination! Heather Bramhill Teacher-On-Call Library/English S.D.#36.
