LM_NET: Library Media Networking

This one has me stumped.

Our government teacher has assigned each student a different President.
Beyond biographical information, he was them to find out:
1. What the budgets were when they were in office
2. Whether the economy was in a period of inflation or deflation
3. Their foreign policy/economic policy/domestic policy
4. Their approval rating (hard to do for Franklin Pierce since approval
ratings only started with the Truman administration)
5. Their relationship with Congress.

The normal references, both in print and online don't go into enough
depth, especially on the more obscure Presidents.

Any suggestions as to where I can look will be appreciated.
