I put any book there that I would define as 'ready reference' - a book that is not
meant to be read through - but only for quick answers. I also circulate all
reference materials (overnight only. I will also make exceptions for a student --
for example, I have many Bibles, Book of Mormon, Koran, etc. as reference but will
circulate them until the student has finished with them.

Mine are near the bottom - never heard of putting them in middle.

You can't do it all and at the same time -- so start a list of what you are going
to and in what order. I tried to keep my call numbers similar to the public
libraries in the area. I use FIC, 92, etc. >

I use the author's complete name.

I keep many - but all in the back room - for curriculum related issues- such as
Africa for (9th grade I have many copies - for others, perhaps only one issue.

Hope this helps.
