Now that everyone is sharing their funny stories, I had to chime in...I have a kindergarten student named Ryan. He just has those cheeks you want to squeeze...He picks up the Gail Gibbons book "The Moon Book" (which for those who don't know, have a big picture of the moon on it) and he says excitedly "Ms. Sherman, I think I'll try this BOWLING BALL book today". I couldn't stop laughing, because honestly it could have been mistaken for a bowling ball if I knew nothing about the moon! When I explained that it was really a book about the moon that he sees up in the sky at night he became even more excited, his whole body shaking to the point where he almost dropped the book and said "Ooooo, now I REALLY think I'll try this book." Nothing like seeing a cutie pie get that excited over a book! Enjoy everyone...
