We'd like to know how many lines (if there is such a > restriction), how many of each part of speech, etc. Hi-- I can help with this! (I was an English teacher for 17 years-- this is my first library job, so I feel pretty info-poor most days on this list!) It's called a cinquain, and it goes like this: 1st word = subject 2nd line = 2 adjectives to describe 3rd line = 3 -ing words to give further details 4th line = a sentence or phrase to tell more 5th line = a synonym for the subject Alternatively, you can also use the following, which requires TONS more thinking, and is fun to mess with: 1st line-- subject (keeping in mind the last line will be an opposite)--something like LOVE/HATE 2nd line-- adjectives 3rd line-- -ing words to describe 4th line-- a phrase that shows BOTH sides of the topic 5th line-- -ing words to describe the opposite 6th line-- adjectives to describe the opposite 7th line-- the antonym HOpe this helps!
