That would work out to about one 300 page book every two weeks.
Including summer and other breaks. Subtract a bit for magazines, email
and IM, and, hopefully, newspapers.

Sounds pretty ambitious.  Where is the original cite?

"The majority opinion is that one page of text contains between
250 and 300 words.  Using that measure, 2 million words would be
between 6700 and 8000 pages."
