Responses to A Big Mildew Problem

I want to thank all of you who have sent suggestions for dealing with the
mildew problem in our elementary library.  The problem (and the possible
legalities) have been brought to the attention of the administration, a
humidifier has been set up, and the books are being cleaned with a bleach
and water solution.  We're looking into the possibilities of annual carpet
cleaning being done in December when the heat is on rather than in the
summer when Virginia's humidity is high. The issue of whether we have to
discard books is still being decided.  Again, thank you all for your
suggestions and support.
