Friends, As some of you know, I am planning to relocate from WA to another state. I = have a big question and need some advice form anyone who can put their = two cents worth in on this subject. here goes...... I have 20 years to work,=20 always worked in states where I have paid into both state retirement as = well as Social Security. I am looking very seriously at Rhode Island. In RI, school employees pay only into their state retirement and nothing = into Social Security.=20 Granted, I will talk to a financial advisor BEFORE making the decision, = BUT I wonder if any of you have any thoughts/ experience on this subject. All of my retirement programs in WA, NC, and VA have been structured so = that the benefit packages include Social Security as well. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY THOUGHTS YOU MIGHT HAVE.......thanks Jim McGInnis Fruit Valley Elem Vancouver, WA jmcginni@vansd.org =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
