Friends,=20

I wish mine included SS. I worked in the outside world for 10 years and =
paid into FICA. A couple of years ago I found out that I would get about =
1/3 of the SS of what I am entitled to when I retire. Dear Ann or Abby =
featured a letter along similar lines the week before last. Missouri is =
one of 14 states with public school retirement set up in such a way that I =
won't get most of social security what I would normally be entitled to =
based on my work in the business world.

Friends,

As some of you know, I am planning to relocate from WA to another state. I =
=3D
have a big question and need some advice form anyone who can put their =
=3D
two cents worth in on this subject.

here goes......
I have 20 years to work,=3D20

always worked in states where I have paid into both state retirement as =
=3D
well as Social Security.

I am looking very seriously at Rhode Island.
In RI, school employees pay only into their state retirement and nothing =
=3D
into Social Security.=3D20

Granted, I will talk to a financial advisor BEFORE making the decision, =
=3D
BUT I wonder if any of you have any thoughts/ experience on this subject.

All of my retirement programs in WA, NC, and VA have been structured so =
=3D
that the benefit packages include Social Security as well.

I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY THOUGHTS YOU MIGHT HAVE.......thanks
