CATALOGING SOFTWARE, VIDEOS AND CDS

The librarians at my high school do catalog all software, videos, and
CDs in the building.  This helps with insurance purposes.  When
cataloging videos for a department, I enter a sublocation on the copy
screen (Follett) and call it Science Dept., Social Studies Dept., or
whatever is appropriate.  I then check out the videos to the appropriate
department.  They house their own videos, and because of the
sublocation, the videos do not show up on my collection statistics or
inventory.
