The rule in our district was always NO CELL PHONES IN
CLASS, Then, part of our new technology bond money was
spent on a super-duper phone system. Now, every teacher
has a telephone with voice mail in their classroom. It
is recommended that we set them for No RIng during
classtime, which makes calls go straight to voice mail.
But not all teachers do that! Although I have always
(9 years) had a phone in my office, which all teachers
were welcome to use, I must admit, the voice mail is
GREAT! Plus with the new phone system I now have 4-
digit dialing to any other phone in the district.
