Sorry about the post - I usually respond individually
but my delete finger got too happy! Anyway, I've
heard of several ways to do this, but it since my lab
isn't online, it hasn't applied to me. Save any old
or free CDs - like the "free AOL" CDs you get in the
mail. Using a permanent marker, write web URLS on the
back (ummarked side) of them and post for student
viewing. I guess you could even use the fancy CD
labels for them if you have them or the budget to do
so. I've also read of people doing this with old
jewel cases - print a cool cover with trivia, a site
address, or a tip and post it also. You could use a
clean label on an old floppy for the same thing.
People make mobiles and all sorts of things out of old
CDs...including Christmas decorations for a lab tree.
It's a cool way to recycle - and I think it'd add an
extra dimension to the usual flat paper bulletin
boards. Good luck!
