One of the things I didn't get done last year during school was a hard
look at our AUP. It seems like it was just something my predecessor did
without much buy-in. (Last year was my first with the school.) I was
hoping to have time over the year or at least over the summer to look
into as a legal question and see what other people were doing. Well,
that didn't happen and yesterday when I talked with my principal she
insisted that this year she wants a passive AUP, one that parents ONLY
return if they don't want their child on-line. I think my predecessor
had talked to her about this and I did find something that could have
been such a form, but I thought maybe this would be a good chance to
see what other people are doing. Registration is next week, so I need to
have something to her soon. Thanks for taking the time to help and I'll
