Marina,
How about putting lots of the books face out on the shelves rather than
spine out.
Also, how about putting some stuffed animals or puppets on the shelves in
the easy book section.
The first weeks of school you could have the older kids make little dioramas
of their favorite books. We make a base starting with a large square of
construction paper. Fold it in quarters on the diagonal. Then cut one of the
fold lines from the corner to the center only. Bring one quarter all the way
under the other and glue to make a triangular diorama that will stand up.
