Hello LM_NETTERS, School starts in 1 week, and I received a new job confirmation yesterday... and yes, this is my first media center, K-5, after being a public librarian. To say I am feeling overwhelmed is an understatement! I still have to work at my other job this week and my time visiting my room is piecemeal. The first day I have a few classes, so I need to be ready. Now how would you prioritize what needs to get done? what are your best sources for library decor (there is a lot on the walls, just to freshen up)? What would you do with classes the first day/week that's informal yet somewhat educational, again working without many resources (I can't find everything yet, and my books I ordered with lesson plans and the like are on order)? I have a feeling I will find a lot in the archives, but I cannot print at the moment from home (ink cartridge, what timing) and the time at my present job is of course limited. Thank you!
