ELEM: Reading suggestions for 5-year-old

I am back in elementary school after a lengthy stay in a middle/high library.
 At my new school, we have a 5-year-old who is reading at what I think will
test out to be a 2nd/3rd grade level (and which will undoubtedly improve
dramatically over the school year).  We are all thrilled at her ability, of
course, and I want to be able to suggest appropriate books to her.  She has a
Junie B. Jones book now, and if she likes it we can go down that whole
series.  I know that I'm out of date on the hot new authors and series at the
elementary level, and I'd REALLY appreciate your suggestions.  Just don't
forget that she's only five!  You may reply to me directly, and TIA!
