In the past when we have been uncertain of the types of restrictions that might be
placed on an order, we have added a note to purchase orders explaining how we
intend to use the products. If memory serves me, it went something like this:
These items are being purchased by an educational agency for circulation to schools
within our service area. Please only provide items that will allow this use.
Fulfillment of this purchase order by you constitutes acknowledgement of that use.
If you have any questions, please call ___________.
I'm not sure how legally binding this is, but we have had no problems since.
