Legally you are on shaky ground. For example, if you want videos for =
public perfomance, and request PPR from a jobber, the jobber is unlikely =
to be able to provide the PPR, but will certainly provide the videos. What =
you mention is one of those "copyright myths" that float around, sort of =
like the permission request that says "If I don't hear from you by =
such-and-such date I will assume that I have permission to do....." You =
can't do that, either. Well, you can but it isn't a good plan. You don't =
know that your letter even got to the person who is authorized to grant =
the permission. Copyright permissions are always best dealt with in a =
positive response rather than a passive one such as suggested below.
