Target: The Seach for the Truth (or something like that)

I have a fellow employee who is looking for a book on Metaphysics.  He
thinks the title might be, The Search For Truth (or something like
that), and that the author is Francis Abel, or Abel Francis, but he is
not real sure about that either.  The book compares different
disciplines and the search for truths in each.  Is this a typical
reference question or what......I am coming up with very little, if you
can help I would appreciate it!
