QUESTION: What is the usual practice at your school regarding wet weather arrangements for the school’s library? Are other teachers deployed to assist with supervision, or do you limit the number of students who are allowed to enter? Due to the length and nature of the responses, I have web-mounted them at http://warriorlibrarian.com/CURRICULUM/wetlunch.html to save clogging up email systems. This query was posted to LM_NET, oztl_net (the Australian national list for LMs) and NSWTL (a statewide listserve for New South Wales goverment school LMs). It is interesting to note that of the 13,000+ subscribers to LM_Net, 6 responses have been received to date. oztl_net has approx 3,000 subscribers, of whom 8 have responded so far. NSWTL has less than 300 subscribers, who provided the balance of the 25 responses received. If you'd like to contribute further information as to what happens at your school, please do so, and I'll add your response to the web-page. If I have breached any protocols, or personal preferences regarding identification, please let me know and I'll take appropriate action (this is my first "hit" on LM_net). Many thanks for the input, Amanda Credaro Teacher Librarian Seven Hills High School Johnson Ave., SEVEN HILLS.
