Just this week I received a brochure in the mail from Compass Point
Books.
They are offering a new series of president books (42 volumes). They are
64 pages long and look quite accessible. Their number is 877-371-1536.
Our 3rd graders use the Children's Press series on Presidents and it
seems
ok for them, but our students tends to be a little above grade level. We
also use UXL biographies CD-ROM and the World Book Encyclopedia although
the
encyc. is a little more difficult I think.
I have purchased the Checkerboard Biography Library on the United States
Presidents. My 3rd grade teachers love it and there are 43 books in the
series. It is available from Rockbottom Books. Their number is
1-800-458-8399 or www.rockbottombooks.com. I also know that you can
purchase them
through Follett Library Resources.
