The week before last, I posted a request for information on authors who might be around the $600 that the school PTA president told me that they would spend. Several people told me that this was a low figure (which I knew) and someone also gave me the name of an author who might be close to that figure, and although I've heard of her, I don't think she's as familiar to the children as I'd like. Anyway, so that I have information when I get back to the PTA in the next few days, what is considered the standard amount of money that most authors get for a visit? I know there are some that I would truly love to see (again ...saw them at the EMAnj fall conferences over the years) but realize that they are in excess of what this preliminary amount is. Thanks for your information. Barb Shapiro, LMS Schnzrsgrl@aol.com Monroe Twp.
