Just went to their website to get more information on what sounds "too
good to be true".
Here are some more details:
The books may or may not be new; this offer is part of their "Reading
Recycling Program", which puts new and used (mostly softcover) books into
students' hands.
The books are not appropriate for school libraries (FAQ #14).
The books are NOT really free; you still have to pay shipping , handling
and administrative costs.
Books can only be ordered in boxes of 100, and each box is for a single
grade level. Books are not shipped Book rate, but via UPS or RPS. Order &
Delivery time is 6 weeks.
