Middle--Poe-like authors

I would appreciate suggestions from all of you on authors appropriate
for 8th grade that mirror Edgar Allan Poe's style.  Prefer short
stories.  I have a few collections with short stories from Duncan,
Cooney, etc.  but am really looking for a couple of authors who write
primarily short stories..  I know they're out their but my brain isn't
cooperating.  Hope you can help.
