Wonderful Author Visit

I have to tell you all (or y'all, to my fellow southerners) about the
wonderful two-day author visit we just completed. My colleague and I met
Matt Cibula at AASL and decided that his zany sense of humor would appeal
to our students. We were right! He came and presented to grades 1-3 and 4-6
as large groups and then gave numerous writing workshops to our 1st through
8th graders. He was very accommodating and easy to work with. His fee was
very reasonable. We've already heard from our parents that the kids went
home pumped up about writing. Our administration was so impressed that they
want to book him for a full week of workshops. And to think...we almost
passed up his booth at AASL! If anyone wants more info, let me know.
