Target: 3rd grade president biographies (series?)

My third grade teachers introduce research with president biographies.  They
are looking for a series that is at or, better yet, below 3rd grade level for
this introductory research.  We have books from different series, as well as
individual titles, on the major presidents but are severely lacking on the
minor ones.

Any ideas?

If there are enough responses, I will post a hit.
