Realignment and splitting libraries

Our school district is considering realignment of
grades which in many plans includes a split of up to
four library collections. Has anyone gone through this
and survived? I would love to offer some assistance to
the district librarians. I am currently a graduate
student studying Library Science and am offering this
plea on behalf of our current staff. We would
appreciate any help or even just encouragement.
