Claudio asked me to clarify myself a bit more on this topic. I hope this helps.
Thank you all.

Hello Claudio: I suppose my intention is to be able to explain exactly what
information literacy is (I have the official definition), and relate back to my
class how various librarians are teaching it. If information literacy is the set
of abilities requiring individuals to recognize when information is needed and have
the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information, how
then is this being accomplished in schools/schoollibraries? How are librarians
interpreting this definition, and how are they going about its implementation? Is
there a particular method of teaching information literacy that has proven
successful? Are there areas that are more difficult to teach than others in
regards to information literacy? Is there one particular real life scenario that
can illustrate how information literacy was taught? Does this help? For some
reason I am having a hard time wrapping my brain around this term. It seems that
it is being made more complicated than it really is, or maybe not. I am not sure.
At any rate, I will be a media specialist very soon, and I need to grasp a good
understanding of information literacy for my career, not just the current course
that I am taking in school. Thank you for your possible help.
