Re: Student signature on cards?

I work in a Lutheran High School that still uses the
old card catalog system.  I have the students sign
their names on the cards and date the card.  I do not
think it is against the law.  The main thing is not to
let others know what books, magazines, etc. are
checked out by that particular student, teacher, staff
member.  It is their right to privacy.  You can use a
magic marker to black out the name when they are
returned so others cannot see who have checked out the
book.
