Here's an idea for finding replacement book jackets:

Check colleges and universities that have education programs and libraries
that support these programs through materials for K-12 students.

When I worked at the university level, I supervised a branch library that
contained primarily materials related to K-12 educational materials and
resources. Among those resources were children's and young adult books.

When I ordered these books, they were received by the main library and the
cataloging department there would "strip" the book jacket from the book,
catalog the material, and send the book to us for placement in our branch.
Even though we asked for these materials to retain their original book
jackets (which we would crystal jacket when we received it at the branch),
many times these book jackets would be pulled off and placed in a pile or
box in the cataloging department. If I ordered duplicate copies of the
book, only one would be sent over with a cover. The remaining cover
remained in a pile in the cataloging department until I retrieved it or they
discarded it.

If you contact area university libraries, you may find that these covers are
thrown away after a short period of time because books at the university
level don't usually retain their book covers for regular circulation.
(Check other libraries to see what they do with their covers too! If you
have a branch nearby that only has books without covers setting on the
shelves, they probably throw their covers away!)
Just ask for these! I know our cataloging department would have given these
boxes of covers to anyone who would take them out of the building! (We had
over 1 million titles in our main the library and that doesn't include the
branch libraries and their collections! Replacement covers for many library
collections could probably be found at most cataloging departments at the
university level.)

Another good idea for book jackets from the university level:

We always kept our duplicate book jackets in a file cabinet in alphabetical
order by author (the same as they would be if they were books on the
shelves). When we decided to do a thematic unit, display, or bulletin
board, we could look up the materials in the catalog by keyword, subject,
title, etc., locate the author and title of the book and go to the file for
the book jackets that would allow us to "display" the book using the jacket.
We "pushed" a lot of books by using the jacket display only...and we never
had to reshelve books that didn't get checked out.

Just my 2c !
