I am studying for my masters and interested in the group's response or
recommendation of articles.

I often think that Teacher Librarians (Media Specialist) and the
administration of a school have different expectations about the role of
the TL.

The human resource literature tells me that a job

"Without human resource planning and job analysis the organisation would
be unable to specify what type of job applicants are needed and when and
where."

How often have you been for an interview in a school where there has not
been a published job description?

Was the interview been very general in focus? Did you have the idea the
interviewer knew what her/she wanted beyond someone who would fit in?

If there has been a job description does it, overall, represent the
focus that you were educated to believe the role of the TL would be.
e.g.. the administrator does not understand TL's focus on Information
literacy...
