Sue: I prefer the World Book all around (continuous revision, better layout, more attractive illustrations, broader coverage), but the Compton's IS an easier read for some of our students. Since you have a 2002 World Book, I would go for the Compton's this time, and perhaps make the '96 World Book one that would circulate.
