I have an Algebra II teacher who would like to develop a project on = real-life applications of conic sections - including parabolas, circles, = ellipses, and hyperbolas. She would also like to collaborate with me, = and I'm excited but also not quite sure where to start. I taught = English and German before coming to the library, so this math material = is not my area of expertise. I'm also wondering about what the = culminating project could be - maybe something other than a PowerPoint? I'm hoping someone out there has experience with this and can steer me = in the right direction or share some things that have worked for you. Thanks a lot, Theresa Collins Media Specialist Goshen HIgh School 401 Lincolnway East Goshen, Indiana (where it hasn't hardly stopped snowing for two days) tcollins@goshenschools.org =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
