Hi all, I have a question about silverfish, which have probably been addressed in the past, but I would like your personal advice. Our district is opening up a new elementary school, and the media center will be getting mostly new books. However, there is one elementary school that will be converting to a middle school, and they have offered to give us a significant number of their books. This would help to flesh out the collection. BUT, of course, their library is significantly infested with silverfish. I know bringing silverfish infested books to a new facility is a dumb idea, and we will do without their books if there is no way to get rid of them, but is there a way to get rid of silverfish so that all those books don't end up in the dump? Is there a way to spray or quarantine a box to get rid of bugs before it gets shipped to the new school? If you don't see bugs in a book, could there still be eggs in it? Thanks for your advice, it will help a lot!
