Hi all;
In the past I have worked with teachers at my school (high school) on a
typical project. So many people have done it that I feel the whole studen=
t
body has done this project if not this year then between this year and la=
st
year. I bet that many of you have the same project.
I am hoping for some ideas to expand the project and get somthing a littl=
e
more thought provoking and deeper. If you have any ideas I will gladly ma=
ke
a hit.
The Project (drumm roll please)
Research a (name of language here) country and find some facts about the
country, some typical foods and prepare a visual about the country and it=
s
food. Also, select a recipe and make it for our class.
While I have nothing specifically against the project, I feel that it cou=
ld
be improved upon. I don't feel that the students really think about what
they are doing. Some select the easiers recipe they can find, and sometim=
es
they are not even for the country they selected. An off shoot of this
assignment - find a Christmas custom recipe. The fastest students get the=
easiest countries, the slower get countries hard to do.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
