Dear LM_NET friends

Meg Schimmels post about the disappearing term paper came with a long URL
that was chopped in half before it got to me. So I wanted to share
something I learned yesterday from another ListServ.

TinyURL will take a long URL and convert it to something small that doesn't
get cut in pieces in email. The website for Tiny URL is http://tinyurl.com.

The URL for the website Meg mentions (see below) was shrunk from 88
characters to this:
http://tinyurl.com/4pp

I think TinyURL is a great free site, so I just had to share.

Research Papers

Interesting you should mention this. I just read an article from the Boston
Globe May 5, 2002 called "The Disappearing History Term Paper". Seems these
days our research expectations by teachers have shrunk.
