The only time I put items on a short loan period is if the material is to be
used by the whole class - or the topic is for a major paper and more than
one will need or want the material. For example: our history teacher has a
list of 20 topics on the Civil War - covering the time period both before
and after. Since information from most of the books can be used for more
than one of these topics, I must limit the amount of time a student can use
them. I usually limit it to 3 days.

Subject: TAR: Overnight, 3-Day and 7-Day Loans

Hello LM_Netters:

Does anyone have any criteria for what materials should be put on shorter
loan periods? (such as overnight, 3-day, and 7-day) If I get responses
I'll
post a hit and will not post any names unless you ask me to.

Thanks,

Marie Slim
